“PSF staff support us months prior to our projects starting. They teach us how to avoid difficulties by giving training us in ‘do no harm’, technical management, financial management and principles of peace. Our project officers and office staff have increased their working ability and we can more effectively manage our projects."

“Our program always has to adapt based on the time and situation. If something changes in the region, we will have to change the plans. PSF accepts our adaptive management as long as we don’t go over the scope, so we are always able to formulate new ideas. We are always able to work with the needs of the region before we start. That is the advantage of PSF and we think that the programs are more beneficial due to this flexibility.”

“What we’re doing is not what we set out to do because of changes in context which affected our plans and timelines. PSF knows the context and the challenges you can come up against. They asked a lot of questions so that we weren’t pushing ahead full speed without considering all the factors, and we brainstormed together and came up with a solution. It’s an example of how donors should be working.”

“PSF are very committed to doing really good work that is really for the people of Myanmar. In the design, we worked together. They ask very good questions to support the design. They create platforms that bring many stakeholders together working on issues and where we can learn together. It supports good coordination in-country and most importantly – learning.”

“PSF has been an extremely substantive donor, and a very encouraging donor. A donor that has provided a platform for us to actually engage with other partners that they fund for better learning."
